Jerry Smith has been a full-time artist since the mid-seventies. Jerry will be teaching at the Sugar Creek Art Center on November 11th from 9-4pm. Class will start with a short introduction including basics of composition, color, values, focal point, etc. Then we will paint a landscape together from design and block-in to completion. Compositions”, exhibition opening on Friday, November 14th from 6 - 9 p.m. Enjoy chatting with resident artists as they work in their studios, and meet featured artists while enjoying music in the main studio.

SCAC Announces the Bonnie Riley Scholarship Fund
New to SCAC starting in 2008
Sugar Creek Art Center of Thorntown, Indiana presents its first scholarship to a Western Boone Senior, Miss Taylor Raymond of Jamestown, Indiana. The center features rotating exhibits, working artist studios, original art, and classes. The board of directors, wishing to further its mission of working artists, made it a priority to establish a scholarship to help students pursue their love of art as a career.
The Bonnie Riley Scholarship Fund to help with the cost of art classes.
